Kurt Dosson, ASA, FCA, MAAA
Kurt Dosson is a Consultant in GRS’ Southfield, Michigan office. He has more than 15 years of actuarial and consulting experience with public employee retirement systems. During his career, Kurt has served a variety of public employee retirement systems and plan sponsors, including state, city, county, and statewide agent-multiple employer retirement systems. He has worked with clients in Virginia, Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
Kurt’s actuarial experience covers pension and retiree health care. This includes funding valuations, GASB 67/68 and 74/75 reporting, cash flow projections and sensitivity analysis related to contribution rates and funding levels, experience studies, and cost studies for proposed benefit changes.
Kurt also has extensive experience in retiree health care valuations. He regularly performs per capita cost developments, premium rate making studies, IBNR and reserve calculations for claim levels, and Medicare Part D attestations. He also serves as the co-chair of GRS’ OPEB Committee.
